That is the entire economics of a quarry in one sentence, and it is why you see this size of loader working to this size of truck on sites everywhere.

Why these two and not any other two

The 745 carries 41 tonnes. The 982 is specified to fill it in four. Put a smaller loader on that truck and you are into six or seven passes and the truck is parked at the face. Put a bigger one on and you are spilling aggregate over the sides.

The XE is the electric drive version, which is the machine quarries are actually buying now for the fuel burn. Both castings are 1:50 so they stand together at the right relative size.
