A loading bench needs three machines, and this is the three.
Caterpillar built the 995 to the same size as the 994K it replaces, then made it hit harder. Their words: the 995 delivers a "one-pass reduction when loading Cat 785, 789 and 793 Mining Trucks", worth "up to a 33% increase in production and efficiency when loading the 785". Where the 994K took four passes, the 995 does it in three. The dozer is not decoration either. A D11T works the loading floor behind the loader, cleaning spillage, building the bench and keeping the face square so the loader can keep cycling. Take it away and the whole bench slows down.

Why these three
Pass matching is the whole game in load and haul. Too small a loader and the truck sits at the face burning cycle time. Too big and you spill over the tray or send it out light. Caterpillar sized the 995 against the 785 deliberately, and the three pass figure is theirs, not ours.
The D11T completes it because no bench runs on a loader and a truck alone. This is the set that reads as a real pit to anyone who has stood on one.
